Why can't I pick 10 stars?? This restaurant is amazing and without doubt the best on the Coast. We've enjoyed Palette and most of the other fine dining restaurants on the Coast but Ladybird beats them all with flavor, quality, service and atmosphere. Located outside the former Versace hotel near Marina Mirage, across the road from the Sheraton Hotel, this is my number one recommendation for superb delicious well presented food, and the prices are just right for this quality and the premium waterfront location. Bottles of wine are reasonably priced and excellent quality. Everything is wonderful but the duck spring rolls are out of this world with superb flavor, texture and freshness. I'm not normally a fan of spring rolls but these are worth every cent, and I doubt I'll ever experience anything better. But I love everything here and truly believe their shared salmon dish is the ultimate salmon meal. OMG, the flavours are superb. This could very well be the best restaurant in Australia. 10 golden stars!!

A Midday Delight at LADYBIRD Local Dining Room & Bar As I walked into LADYBIRD Local Dining Room & Bar, I was immediately drawn to its captivating charm. Nestled next to the marina, it offered a stunning view of glittering super yachts. Perfect for a romantic date or a leisurely family lunch, the restaurant's tastefully understated decor and impeccably organized setting reflected its spotless welcoming ambiance. My waiter for the afternoon, Fraser, was nothing short of exemplary. His attentive service was peppered with excellent culinary recommendations. His ability to effortlessly manage a large section alone was indeed commendable. If I owned a restaurant, Fraser would be at the top of my recruitment list! My culinary exploration started with Crispy Fried Pork Gyoza, drenched in a pleasing tare sauce, and Char-grilled Angus Beef Spring Rolls, garnished with sriracha mayo and nahm jim. The spring rolls, generously filled, offered a balanced blend of flavors. However, the dipping spice seemed to clash with the spring rolls' distinct taste, and the sriracha mayo could have used a homemade touch. Yet, their presentation was visually delightful. The pork gyoza, although mild, were paired with an enticing dipping sauce of soy, chili, spring onion, and sesame seeds. The pastry was a tad thick, which made the deep-fried bites slightly stodgy, but they were still a treat. The presentation, however, was a bit uninspired. My main dish was the Kung Pao Chicken, a symphony of moist chicken, toasted cashews, and Asian spices, all harmoniously balanced. The dish was complemented by lightly cooked crunchy beans that added a refreshing contrast to the deep heat of the dish. It was like a melody on my palate, with the light, fluffy rice, sprinkled with fried onion pieces, fresh spring onion, and sesame seeds, playing a delightful side note. A glass of 2019 Willoughby Park 'Kalgan River' Riesling added a final touch to this gastronomic symphony. In summary, LADYBIRD Local Dining Room & Bar offers a charming lunch experience that combines a picturesque setting with extraordinary cuisine. Despite a few minor culinary hiccups, the remarkable service and the overall ambiance make it a lunch destination you shouldn't miss.
